Bookings, Payments and Cancellations
How a seat is reserved, what is payable, and the Host's cancellation and refund policy. This document forms part of the Agreement.
1. Reservation of a seat
1.1 Seats are held provisionally while the Guest is on the payment page and are released automatically if payment is not completed within the holding period. A provisional hold confers no right to attend.
1.2 A booking is confirmed, and the contract formed, only upon receipt by the Host of payment in cleared funds and issue of a written confirmation. The Host is not bound by any booking which has not been so confirmed, including where a price, availability or description was displayed in error.
1.3 Where an obvious error in price or description is discovered before the Experience, the Host may cancel the booking and refund the sums paid, and shall have no further liability.
2. Price and payment
2.1 Prices are stated per guest, or as a fee for the whole Experience where so indicated, in United Arab Emirates Dirhams (AED), and are inclusive of value added tax where applicable.
2.2 The price covers only the Experience as described on the relevant page. Travel, accommodation, transport, parking, gratuities and anything not expressly described are excluded and are the Guest's responsibility.
2.3 Payment is processed by a third-party payment services provider. The Host does not receive, process or store payment card details, and is notified only of the outcome of a transaction and a transaction reference. The Guest's use of the payment page is additionally subject to that provider's own terms.
2.4 The Guest is responsible for any bank charge, currency conversion cost or foreign transaction fee levied by the Guest's own card issuer or bank.
2.5 Where a private Experience is invoiced, payment is due in accordance with the terms of the invoice. The Host is under no obligation to commence procurement or preparation until payment has been received.
3. Cancellation and amendment by the Guest
3.1 A request to amend or cancel a booking must be made in writing through the Guest's booking-management link or the Host's published email address. No amendment or cancellation is effective until the Host has confirmed it in writing. Nothing is altered on a booking by the making of a request alone.
3.2 A cancellation requested and confirmed more than 48 hours before the stated start time of the Experience will be accepted. The value of the booking will be issued as a credit note in accordance with clause 4. Cancellations are not refunded in money.
3.3 A cancellation requested within 48 hours of the stated start time, and any failure to attend, is treated as a no-show. The full price remains payable and no credit note, refund or allowance of any kind is due. The Guest acknowledges that by that point ingredients have been procured and the seat withheld from sale, and that this reflects a genuine pre-estimate of the Host's loss rather than a penalty.
3.4 Amendments, including a change of date or of the number of guests, are accommodated at the Host's absolute discretion and subject to availability. A reduction in the number of guests within the notice period in clause 3.3 does not reduce the price payable.
3.5 A booking is personal to the Guest and the Party named at booking and may not be resold or transferred without the Host's prior written consent.
3A. Private Experiences: cancellation and change of date
3A.1 This clause applies in place of clauses 3.2, 3.3 and 3.4 to a private Experience, meaning an Experience booked in its entirety rather than by the seat, including a Private Supper Club, a Private Chef evening, a private cooking class and a corporate or team event. Clauses 3.1 and 3.5 continue to apply.
3A.2 A cancellation or an amendment, including a change of date, requested and confirmed more than 5 days before the agreed date of the Experience is accepted at no charge, and any sums already paid in respect of it are refunded in full to the original method of payment.
3A.3 A cancellation requested within 5 days of the agreed date, and any failure to proceed on that date, gives rise to no refund, credit note or allowance of any kind, and the full price remains payable. The Guest acknowledges that by that point the date has been withheld from sale, the team engaged and procurement commenced, and that this reflects a genuine pre-estimate of the Host's loss rather than a penalty.
3A.4 A change of date requested within 5 days of the agreed date may be accommodated at the Host's absolute discretion and subject to availability, on payment of a fee of 25% of the total value of the Experience. The balance of sums already paid is applied to the rearranged date. A date may be changed once on these terms; a second change is treated as a cancellation under clause 3A.3.
3A.5 Where the number of guests is reduced within the period in clause 3A.3, the price agreed for the Experience remains payable in full.
4. Credit notes and discount codes
4.1 A credit note is issued to, and may be redeemed only from, the email address which made the original booking. It is personal, non-transferable and may not be exchanged, in whole or in part, for money.
4.2 Unless the Host states otherwise in writing, a credit note is valid for twelve (12) months from the date of issue, is redeemable on one occasion only, may not be combined with any other credit note or discount code, and expires without value at the end of that period.
4.3 Discount codes are issued at the Host's discretion, are subject to any conditions stated at issue, may be withdrawn or invalidated at any time before redemption, are single-use unless stated otherwise, and have no cash value.
4.4 Where a booking paid for in whole or in part by credit note is subsequently cancelled, any value returned is returned as credit only, on the terms of the original credit note and without extension of its expiry.
5. Cancellation by the Host
5.1 The Host may cancel, postpone, relocate or modify an Experience in the circumstances described in clause 8 of the Terms and Conditions.
5.2 Where the Host cancels, the Guest's sole and exclusive remedy is, at the Guest's election, a credit note or a refund of sums actually paid in respect of that Experience. Refunds are made to the original method of payment within a reasonable period.
5.3 Subject to clause 11.1 of the Terms and Conditions, the Host shall have no liability for any other cost, expense, loss or commitment incurred by the Guest or the Party in connection with a cancelled, postponed or modified Experience, including travel, accommodation, transport and childcare.
6. Chargebacks and recovery
6.1 The Guest shall not initiate a chargeback, payment reversal or dispute with its card issuer in respect of a booking without first raising the matter with the Host in writing and allowing a reasonable period for it to be addressed.
6.2 Where a chargeback is initiated in breach of clause 6.1 in respect of a booking properly supplied, the Host reserves the right to recover the sum charged back together with any associated fee and the reasonable costs of recovery.
